Located in the very centre of the town, “New Central Park” is one of Mataró’s main green spaces, a favourite spot for leisure activities and walks, for children’s games and for sports activities.
Adjoining Parc Central, this new space lies between Via Europa and Plaça de Granollers, and has a total area of 155,609 m², of which 22,233 m² are occupied by an open air trade fair site. The outstanding fairs organised here over the course of the year include the Fira d’Atraccions and the Fireta de Primavera. The park also contains a children’s playground
Around 40 different varieties of trees populate the park. Mimosa, lavender, coral, palms... the flowers are a joy to see, while the aromatic plants awaken our senses as we stroll around the different paths here.
On the sea front, in Passeig Marítim, is a pine wood with a number of picnic tables.
